About Me
I am pursuing masters in Bioinformatics at Georgia Tech. Currently, I am working in Dr. Greg Gibson's lab on "Gene Environment Interaction Study for BMI to study the Association of Different Genetic Loci with the Risk of Obesity".
Prior to joining Georgia Tech, I completed my undergraduation in Biotechnology in India. During my undergraduation, I developed keen interest in bioinformatics and pursued a 6 months internship at a research lab where my project was based on developing a computational pipeline to derive minimal set of differentially expressed genes with discriminatry predictive power using microarray datasets. I loved the blend of genomics, statistics and programming and decided to have a career in bioinformatics. Post my graduation, I joined a computational biology start-up in India where I worked with metabolomics data and delivered tools to pharmaceutical companies and research labs in US.
